Reverse Engineering

If you have neither CAD nor drawings for your part, try our reverse engineering service. By  combining our CMM & CAD capabilities we can digitise your part then  create 2D and 3D CAC models or blueprint drawing to suit your needs.

Inspection Reports

AB Technology provides inspection reports that are easy to read, interpret and analyse. We match the layouts of our reports to the individual needs of each customer.  Results can be generated in a number of formats including CAD, Excel, Word and ASCII.  Reports are available as paper copy or via e-mail.  

Results Analysis

If your part is incorrect and the CMM inspection results do not provide a clear indication as to what the underlying cause is, our specialist software tools can help. We can evaluate the actual part measurements, individually or as whole, against the nominal part description using powerful best fitting routines. Typically errors revealed include part twisting, shrinkage and errors in datum  features.

Process Control

If you need to quantify the capability of your manufacturing process we can help. We have experience in conducting 'SPC', 'Gauge R+R', Capability Studies and First Article Inspection Reports.

CMM Off Line Programming

Our state of the art, CAD based , off line CMM programming software enables us to create inspection programs prior to your part being available. When your part becomes available the inspection program is ready to run. You can run these programs on our CMM or your own. With either option you will benefit from reduced lead-times and maximise your productivity.

CMM Programming & Training

The purpose of our programming and training service is to help you get the most out of your CMM.  Use our programming knowledge, which has been developed over many years and a wide range of industries, to your benefit. We will work with you to enhance your existing programs, measuring techniques, reports and programming knowledge or deliver a turnkey solution - which ever suits your needs. Our native language support includes Quindos, MM4, MeasureMax+, DMIS and PC-DMIS.

Equipment

All equipment is calibrated and traceable to national standards. Accuracy and reliability tests are carried out regularly. Our Giddings and Lewis RS30 High Accuracy Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) has a measuring range of 1000mm x 750mm x 650mm and a volumetric accuracy of 0.007mm.
